Amazing staff who remember what you have and how you like it. Great price and great food.

Not glamorous but smaller, clean and friendly. Make everything from scratch including a small collection of baking....cinnamon buns...yum!

Always good "home cooked" fresh fayre, never dissapointed.

Throughout the years, the Wooden Nickel Cafe has always provided outstanding service. Food always tastes great and the staff are very sweet.

Food is inexpensive here, so you can live quite cheaply.

Love this local eatery! Amazing food and fun, fantastic staff. Their sourdough really might be the best there is. Try this place out if you find yourself in the DLC (District of Lake Country).

Great food, good service, friendly staff, fantastic atmosphere. Overall just a good experience, I wasn't sure exactly what to expect but as soon as I entered I was pleasantly suprised. My only minor complaint is a "please seat yourself" sign or something of the like might be nice just to avoid confusion but besides that, no complaints. Certainly plan on visiting again from time to time.

Finally stopped in at the Wooden Nickel for breakfast after many drive pasts on route to Kelowna. The place was quaint with a surprisingly good number of tables. Ordered coffee and the breakfast special. Service for the initial cup of coffee was fast however refills were far and few between and the price for a cup was quite expensive. More than I’m used to paying from a cafe. Service was on the slower side, not exceptionally friendly ( had a sign on the door seeking wait staff). When the breakfasts came our coffees were not refilled, only once we were done eating were they refilled. The breakfast was basic but tasty. I was disappointed that they served deep fried hash brown patties and not homemade potato hash browns. They did have homemade sourdough toast that was good. I can now officially say I tried it but will not be a repeat customer for breakfast.

Awesome breakfast and awesome lunch. Make a fantastic in house sour dough that even though I’m gluten free I can eat without getting super sick. Great service and great people and great treats available as well.

Really enjoy eating here. The food and always been good, and the service really awesome - only one star down for the interior. It's a cafeteria converted, and a little dark. However- the ladies' personalities makes up for this. They are truly sunshine, and worth a stay.

Found this little place by accident driving past but apparently everyone in the area already knew about it. The place was non stop busy from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. The service was extremely friendly, but it seemed they might have been having a hard time keeping up with how busy it was which is understandable. Their sourdough is made in house and it's delicious! Also saw some pretty incredible looking cinnamon buns but by the time we were ready, the crowd had cleared them out so I guess they were really good too! Next time we'll order those first! I would have given five stars except that the service was pretty slow even though they had quite a few servers and people bussing, but again it was pretty busy. We will definitely be returning if we get the chance to drive through there again.

This is our spot! Love coming here for breakfast or brunch, service is always awesome and the food! Oh my the food. I always leave full. I will continue to come here as much as possible.

No doubt about it, this is Classic Cafe atmosphere. I will be back again and again do lunch and enjoy their Wares. I'm not sure why I've never been here before it's just my kind of place, and it could be your place too! Even with their masks on I can tell the staff has got huge Smiles on their faces. Their personalities are large and positive. The food was really tasty and reasonably priced. Parking here is ample for any size vehicle, although entrance to the parking lot can be difficult for larger vehicles.

With 35 years in the same location this local dive is worth the stop! The atmosphere may not be up to par with classier places but this breakfast/lunch diner is filled with homemade comfort. In-house baked sourdough bread made our sandwiches scrumptious. The fries and gravy are delish and the service is personable and welcoming. This will be somewhere we visit again!
